How do I calibrate the Fristaden Lab HC Series scale?
Press and hold the CAL/PCS button until "CAL" appears on the screen. Place the included 500g calibration weight on the platform. The scale will auto-detect the weight and return to 0.00g once calibration is complete. For multi-point linear calibration, press TARE twice and CAL/PCS once immediately after turning the unit on to access the 04-CAL menu.
How do I export scale data to a PC using RS232?
Connect the balance to your PC via an RS232-to-USB serial adapter cable. Configure your terminal software (e.g., COMTool) to Baud Rate: 9600, Data Bits: 8, Stop Bits: 1, Parity: None. In the scale settings menu (09-odE), select mode 2 for stable automatic output or mode 3 for continuous streaming output.

The balance can calibrate and weigh up to 2000g in 5 seconds or less. The built-in counting function can total multiple pieces automatically potentially saving you time and money tallying inventory and other items.
One Year Warranty
Every American Fristaden Lab precision scale undergoes a rigorous quality control testing process. We test for margin of error, linearity, repeatability, and four points testing. Our warranty period extends a full one-year. We will repair or replace your counting scale should there be a defect during the warranty period.
